The 57th Overlanders, also mockingly called the "Balls and Bayonets Brigade" by Badger, was a unit in the Independent Planets' military. The unit participated in many battles during the Unification War, including the Battle of Serenity Valley and the Battle of Du-Khang.
Sergeant Malcolm Reynolds and Corporal Zoë Alleyne Washburne were both members of this unit during the war.
