Burnet is the first moon of the planet Meridian in the Blue Sun system.
It is home to a sizeable deposit of Iridium, a precious metal in the platinum-group. Well-funded prospectors come from off-world to mine the metal then sell it on the Core worlds. The locals have taken to calling these prospectors “Silverliners”, in reference to the large, silvery ships they travel on.
The Peacemakers have a base of operations here at Halfway House, where orphan children are recruited and trained.
