Biographical information

Cabott was a wealthy lady who was in attendance at the grand ball on Persephone, on the occasion when Malcolm Reynolds first met Sir Warwick Harrow. She was with a well-dressed clique of friends consisting of Banning Miller, Dester, and Zoe. When the four were approached by the newcomer Kaywinnit Lee Frye, they found her frankness and social unfamiliarity off-putting. Banning at first introduced Kaylee to the three other women. Cabott made a thinly-veiled snide remark to insult Kaylee, and Banning came next with some offensive words about Kaylee's dress. As Kaylee choked up with humiliation, the gentleman Murphy arrived to assist her. Murphy complimented Banning's very elegant dress, and she preened in appreciation for a moment. He then quickly changed the mood by following up with an statement about her promiscuity: "'Course your daddy tells me it takes the space of a schoolboy's wink to get you out of [the dress]." Banning was shocked and stormed off, followed closely by her clique of defeated friends.
