Ceres is a registered Companion who studied at House Madrassa with Inara Serra, Nandi, and Guanyin.

In 2518, she was contracted by the Alliance Parliament to accompany the Disciples on a mission to Burnet. Her role was to tutor the missing member of the Disciples, Iris, on how to be "civilized".
