Lear is the sole surviving of the five moons of the planet-turned-asteroid swarm Six Sigma (formerly "Pacifica") in the Kalidasa system. S/2207(Six Sigma)05 was discovered in 2207.
Overview[]
Originally designated S/2207(Pacifica)05, Lear was the fifth moon of the planet Pacifica before its destruction during a terraforming accident in 2274.
Despite clearing out most of the debris along its corridor around Penglai in the 200 years since Pacifica’s destruction, there are still substantial meteor showers that make its surface an unhealthy place to be. As a result, the inhabitants of the moon live shelted beneath the moon's surface.
Trivia[]
- The name is a reference to King Lear.
