New Canaan was the second planet in the Blue Sun system New Canaan had a population of 228,000 and had two moons, Ugarit and Lilac. New Canaan where the brandy of the same name comes from, and is a stop of the New Canaan Run.

- New Canaan was mentioned in the original opening of "Safe". On Earth, Canaan is the ancient land covering what is today Lebanon, Israel, Palestinian territories, the western part of Jordan and southwestern Syria. It is a cognate of the Greek term "Phoenicia".
