Serenity: Float-Out is a future comic to be released by Dark Horse comics. At the same time as the March 9 announcement for The Shepherd's Tale, Dark Horse announced a second character prequel: a one-shot comic focusing on pilot Hoban "Wash" Washburne.
It has been stated that this story will take place after the Serenity movie.
