Sheydra was a veteran Companion who oversaw a Guild training house on a world far removed from the Central Planets. As the head of the house, Sheydra personally selected those chosen to enter training. The location of the world was mentioned as being "on a world far removed from the shiny lights of the Core." Inara Serra briefly assisted Sheydra in training before the Alliance Parliament Operative forced her to rejoin the Serenity crew.
