The name is clearly visible in a close up of Simon's encyclopedia in a cut scene available on the DVD. Simon consults in an attempt to better understand Captain Reynolds. It is also likely the rod Sheppard Book consults to determine that Mal was, in fact married in "Our Mrs. Reynolds".
