The Victoria-class corvette was a class of warship employed by the Union of Allied Planets in the Union of Allied Planets Navy.

Overview[]

It was referred to as a special operations forces corvette, due to its ability to allow surreptitious insertion of Special Operations Forces and their equipment. With its ability to travel undetected and the relatively high amount of firepower, these ships were often commanded by high ranking personnel, such as Operatives of the Alliance Parliament.

At the Universe battle the Operative's corvette was destroyed by a ramming attack from a Reaver ship.

Details[]

Speaking of the Victoria-class Corvette, it's listed in Six-Shooters & Spaceships on pg. 103 at 80,000 tons, with no support craft and just a pair of 50 pound guns and 1,600 tons of missiles (mission specific), which probably explains why it's being flanked by a pair of Ocula-class Electronics Warfare Corvette with a Trebuchet-class Battle Cruiser nearby before the Reavers arrive and send the Alliance formation into chaos. "The Victoria-class corvette was designed to allow surreptitious insertion of Special Forces and their equipment." Yes, the Operative is a VERY special force...actually, the entry continues to say that "a Victoria-class corvette is often put under the command of Parliament Operatives who need a fast ship with sufficient firepower to resolve any armed conflict."

Vessels[]

  • The Victoria is the flagship of the Alliance fleet, permanently stationed in orbit around Londinium.

Trivia[]

Behind the scenes[]

While never referred to as such on screen, the Operative's flagship in the events of the film is a Victoria-class Corvette.
